“Pralhad P. Chhabria Research Center (PPCRC),” has been established in the year 2016 in memory of Late Shri. Pralhad P. Chhabria, iconic businessman and the Founder Chairman of Finolex Group of Companies. His lifelong commitment towards fostering social development in India led him to establish “Hope Foundation and Research Centre” that pursues its charitable objectives in the fields of medicine, education, and research. PPCRC was a constituent of Hope Foundation and Research Centre established to promote research.

PPCRC intended to advance knowledge through research and provide education & training in Science, Engineering, and Technology, to serve India and the world. The research and development activities are carried on in several diverse fields of engineering and technology including energy, environment, telecommunication, spatial data infrastructure, and computation, etc. PPCRC offers programs based on the research outcomes for professionals working in the industry to enhance their knowledge and skills to adapt themselves to the ever-transforming world of technology.

With specific reference to the requirements stipulated by the regulatory authorities in the field of higher education and other quality assessment organizations and agencies, the Managing Committee of Hope Foundation in its meeting dated March 5, 2019, approved to amalgamate PPCRC with its educational campus in Pune i.e. the International Institute of Information Technology (I²IT) considering the convenience of operational feasibility and other administrative and funding benefits for research from the Government that could be derived upon amalgamation. PPCRC now operates as a dedicated in-house Research, Development, Consultancy, and Collaboration (RDCC) Cell of I²IT, Pune, and is poised to become an eminent wing of academics and research to find and create technological solutions to create a better quality of life.
